Back from holiday

Visiting Eleanor and FDR at their Hyde Park home.

We're back from our holiday, having driven over 2000 miles (Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, Ohio, West Virginia), reuniting with friends and family and stopping at interesting sites from Thomas Jefferson's Monticello
to the Hopewell Culture National Historical Park.

Yesterday, after a fine evening boat ride, our neighbor Ted called us over to his dock.  He'd trapped 3 large blue crabs in a crab pot he'd lowered into the creek.  What a beautiful shade of periwinkle on their shells.  He alleged that many of the "local" crabs served in the Chesapeake Bay area are actually from around here.
